The Challenge

NaturNems sells natural dietary supplements out of Radebeul – from energy and vitality to stress, sleep and the hormone system, through to sexuality & wellbeing, carrying brands like Dr. Becky, Senserex, King Active and Level. It's a category that lives on trust: anyone putting something into their own body wants to know exactly what's inside before they buy. The existing Lightspeed shop kept getting in the way at exactly that moment – long loading times and a checkout that asked for more clicks than necessary.

My Strategy

1. Performance over bloat

The Lightspeed theme was stripped down and assets compressed, so product pages load noticeably faster. In e-commerce, every second saved is one less reason to bounce.

2. A checkout with less friction

The path from cart to confirmation was shortened. Trust signals – the customer rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars across more than 100 reviews (as of January 2026), secure payment, the free-shipping threshold from €53 in Germany or €98 in the EU – now sit exactly where they matter in the purchase decision.

3. Mobile-first for repeat buyers

Over 80% of customers shop on mobile. Category navigation is built for thumb use accordingly, with a newsletter incentive for the next purchase.

The Result

The shop loads noticeably faster, the checkout has fewer drop-off points, and the trust elements already in place – reviews, payment methods like Klarna and PayPal, the 24-hour response guarantee in customer service – are now placed where they're actually seen during the purchase.
